2020 Mustang 2.3L High Performance Adds More Power to Its EcoBoost Engine

The current generation of Ford Mustang has been impressing enthusiasts near Ashburn, GA and Ocilla with its available 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine. It's a base four-cylinder engine that manages to deliver more than 300 horsepower. Now, no matter which Mustang model you choose, you'll always get exciting performance under the hood.

But that wasn't quite enough for Ford. The Mustang EcoBoost share's its engine block with the impressive Focus RS -- a hot hatchback that took the enthusiast world by storm. Ford has decided to tweak put the same version of the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine from the Focus RS in the Mustang.

The result is the 2020 Mustang High Performance. This model has 20 more horsepower than the Mustang EcoBoost and a greater overall focus on performance. The High Performance package brings power up to 330 horsepower while torque remains at 350 pound-feet. However, Ford claims the maximum torque powerband range has expanded by 40 percent. Simply put, you'll have access to more torque more of the time than with the standard Mustang EcoBoost.

The new 2020 Mustang High Performance will be available with either a six-speed manual transmission or a ten-speed automatic. You can also equip it with an available EcoBoost Handling Package, which adds an upgraded limited slip differential, upgraded Pirelli tires, and a rear sway bar.

Ford says that the High Performance package will be available in fall of 2019. Until then, you can stay informed about the package by communicating with us here at Griffon Ford Lincoln near Valdosta and Nashville, GA.
